We are a sole-trader plastering and decorating business based in Tiptree, Essex (CO5), trading as PPK — Plastering & Painting by Kieran. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the "data controller" of the personal information described in this policy.

We only collect the information we need to run the business, which may include:

• Enquiry details — your name, phone number, email address, address of the property, and any details or photographs you include when you call, message us on WhatsApp or Facebook, or complete the quote request form on this website.
• Job and booking details — correspondence about quotes, agreed work, access arrangements, invoices and payment records.
• Website usage data — anonymised analytics about how visitors use this site, collected through Google Analytics (see "Cookies" below).

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes for plastering, painting and decorating work;
• Arrange, carry out and complete work you have booked with us;
• Keep records for accounting, tax and legal purposes;
• Send enquiry notifications to the business email address so we can respond to you.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not send marketing emails or text messages.

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries and manage jobs you ask us to quote for or carry out; performance of a contract when we carry out work for you; and legal obligation where we must keep financial and tax records. Where any other processing applies, we will tell you and rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

This website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregated information such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last and the general type of device used. This helps us understand which services and areas people are interested in. Google Analytics cookies do not identify you personally, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting how the website works.

We keep your information within the business. The only processors involved are our website and email hosting provider (which stores enquiry submissions and sends notification emails to us), our email provider, and Google Analytics (anonymised). Where we use subcontractors or other trades on a job, we only share the details necessary to complete that work, with your knowledge.

Enquiries that do not lead to booked work are kept for up to 12 months, in case you contact us again. Records relating to completed jobs, invoices and payments are kept for at least 6 years, in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements. Analytics data is retained in line with Google's standard retention settings.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Ask us to delete information we no longer have a valid reason to keep;
• Object to or restrict certain processing, or ask us to move your data to another provider.
